CSV Data Fields

Define fields for CSV model import

Define CSV Fields

To access this dialog:

  • Import a CSV-format Block Model file. The Define CSV Fields dialog will be shown.

This dialog is shown when importing a Block Model file in CSV (comma separate value) format. It is used to define the key coordinate fields within the CSV file that will be use to define the model's spatial context for future processes. Once all coordinates have been set, click OK to proceed to the Define Model Parameters dialog.

Field Details:

The following fields are available on this dialog:

Field List: this list represents all numeric fields that have been found in the incoming CSV model file. Select one field before assigning it to a key coordinate status using the buttons on the right side of the form.

X0, Y0, Z0: select the field from the Field List that represents the X, Y or Z coordinate of each block model centroid, followed by the relevant button to set it.

XINC, YINC, ZINC: select the field from the Field List that represents the X, Y or Z cell dimensions. If the model does not contain any subcells, these three fields can be implicit (not stored on every record). This will reduce the storage space required by the model.
